Baratang, Oct 16: The Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, Mr Awanish Kumar along with the Deputy Forest Officer, Vipul Panday visited the Baratang Jetty area on 14th October, 2019.
During the visit the Up-adhyaksha of South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr Alagar Swamy and Pradhan, Nilambur Gram Panchayat, Mr Roy George were also present, who demanded the DC to allocate some space near the Jetty area for Non- profit organizations, so that they can sell their handmade materials to the visiting tourists.
The DC gave patient hearing and assured them that the demand will be fulfilled soon.
The DC later visited Kadamtala areas also, where Up-adhyaksha of South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr Alagar Swamy had accompanied.
