Port Blair, Aug 27: The President of Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma arranged a personal meeting of the delegation of the VVEA with the General Secretary of AICC, Mr Janardan Dwivedi on 25th August 2012.
Giving the memorandum with a SOS message for the employees of the Corporation, Mr Sharma pleaded Mr. Dwivedi that these employees are deprived of the 6th Pay Commission and many benefits have also been withdrawn from them due to the financial hardship because of no fault of them.
On behalf of the employees, Mr Lally Baby, Secretary VVEA, Mrs Fulkeria Roy and Mrs Manorama Basak and from the Industrial employees side Mr Shaukat Ali have spoken about their pathetic condition to the General Secretary.
After that the delegates of Parents Association also met Mr Dwivedi whose difficulties were briefed by Mr Sharma for solution. Mr. Dwivedi assured them that he will look into the matters of both the associations with appropriate Ministries.
