Port Blair, Sept 19: As part of the completion of one year since the launch of ‘Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’, Ayushman Bharat Pakhwada is being observed by the Health Department from Sept 15 to 30, 2019. During the fortnight various activities are being conducted to create awareness among the beneficiaries about the scheme. As part of the observance, a rally was organised at Mayabunder recently, which was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District, Shri Awanish Kumar. The Assistant Commissioner, N&M Andaman District and Officers & Staffs of the Health Department participated in the rally.
A similar rally was organized by the Directorate of Health Services, which was flagged off by its Director, Dr. S.P. Burma from the premises of Cellular Jail, Port Blair. About 200 people participated in the Rally which included Program Officers of Health Department, Health Staff and School students. The participants carried banners and placards with message about Ayushman Bharat to create awareness.
