Port Blair, Sept 12: A man namely, Mr. Sona Muthu, a resident of Brookshabad, was today rescued by staffs of Waves Restaurant, after staffs spotted the man trying to commit suicide by drowning near the Corbyn’s Cove beach.
Soon the matter was informed to police control room. Immediately the team of PS Aberdeen, under the leadership of SHO PS Aberdeen, Inspector Sanjay Kumar and PCR teams reached the spot and shifted the person to hospital. The man was under influence of alcohol it is learnt. Mr. Sona Muthu is presently out of danger.
