Port Blair, Aug 19: More than 200 students of GSSS Campbell Bay and GSSS Gandhi Nagar with PRI members and parents today staged a massive dharna infront of GSSS Campbell Bay against shortage in teachers in various schools of Great Nicobar. Raja (Pradhan, Campbell Bay), E.S Rajesh, Pradan, (Laxmi Nagar), Sandeep Kalyan (Zilla Parisad Member), Gagandeep Singh (Zilla Parisad Member), and Venkat Rao (Up Pramukh) were also present during the protest.
The dharna began at around 0800 hours and ended by afternoon after the Assistant Commissioner of Campbell Bay reached the protest site and assured that he will do all needful to ensure that the Island gets sufficient number of teachers.
