Port Blair, Aug 09: The Andaman and Nicobar Police today arrested one person for murdering his younger brother at Port Mout area.
According to reports the victim, Mr. Raj Kumar, son of Late Ramesh Chandranath, 25 years, a resident of Port Mout, was missing since 24 July 2019 and on 30 July 2019 his mother lodged a missing report at PS Ograbraj after which efforts were made to locate the missing person.
As per reports during investigation some relatives of the victim pointed out that Mr. Raj Kumar was not having good relationship with his elder brother Mr. Ghanshyam Chandra Nath.
On interrogating, the elder brother Mr. Ghanshyam Chandra Nath reportedly accepted that he has murdered his brother and after murder he threw the body in the creek area of near Range Office, Port Mout Jetty.
Today at about 1200hrs highly decomposed body of victim was recovered from the creek with the help of PS Brichgunj staffs and villagers. The SP District, DySP District, SDPO Bambooflat and FSL team were presented at the spot when the body was recovered, it is learnt.
