Port Blair, July 15: A bus of State Transport Service from Diglipur to Port Blair met with an accident inside Jarawa Tribal Area between Middle Strait and Jirkatang yesterday.
According to reports, the bus started from Middle Strait at around 12.30 pm but later because of flat tyres the bus got delayed again after repair, when it was about 14 KM away from Jirkatang it skidded and tilted to the right because of loose earth. As per details the loose earth was there because of the NH works for the construction of drainage.
There were nearly 17 passengers inside the bus but no one suffered any injuries. The passengers were later shifted to other bus and the bus was brought out of the Jarawa area today for repair.
