Baratang, June 27: In a major development the BSNL has fixed 3G equipments in all towers of Baratang Island following heavy demands of public and tour operators.
Andaman Sheekha had twice highlighted the issue and pointed out that how large number of tourists visiting Baratang feels disappointed when they get no internet in their mobile device after reaching Baratang Island.
As per detail all four towers of Adazig, South Creek, Baratang Exchange and Nilambur have been fitted with 3G equipments and in one or two days 3G trials will be carried out in the region.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the Zilla Parishad member of Baratang Island, Mr. Alager Swamy today expressed his gratitude towards BSNL CGM and other officials for this achievement. He also expressed gratitude towards the DC N &M Andaman for allotting a piece of land for a new BSNL tower for Rajat Garh and Kattan area of Baratang, where BSNL has already started to works for erecting a 60 mtr long towers.
