Port Blair, Jun 25: Transport Department started Night Bus Service between Port Blair and Mayabunder from today for the benefit of general public, especially those who live in North & Middle Andaman.
The Director of Transport, Dr. Navlendra Singh flagged off the Bus at 12 noon today.
The bus will leave Port Blair at 12.00 noon and reach Mayabunder at around 8.00 PM and next day the Bus will leave Mayabunder at mid night and reach Port Blair by 8.30 AM.
Addressing the gathering the Director of Transport congratulated all staffs of Transport Department for making launch of this service possible despite constrains. “After we launched night bus services for Diglipur people liked it so much that there was a demand for night bus service for Mayabunder. Initially we though this won’t be possible before July but I congratulate staffs of this department for making this possible before July,” said Dr. Navlendra Singh.
