Thoratang, June 17: A crocodile attack has been reported from the Thoratang Nallah of Middle Andaman this morning. According to report due to collapse of Thoratang Nallah Bailey Bridge, a farmer of the area was trying to cross the Thoratang Nallah with his cattle and while trying to do so he witnessed that a crocodile suddenly attacked one of his cows and went away with it.
After reaching the area Andaman Sheekha Correspondent reported about this matter to the forest department after which forest officials reached the spot and told Andaman Sheekha that the forest department will intimate all the nearby Panchayats about this crocodile attack, so that people remain careful.
Meanwhile, People of nearby area expressed their anguish over the incident of Thoratang Bridge Collapse because of which they have to cross the Nalla, by walking, risking their lives, even for going to the Grassland with cattle and also to reach paddy field. They also alleged that the work of repairing the Thoratang bridge is going very slow.
