Rangat, June 17: The Rangat area of Middle Andaman today witnessed heavy rainfall since late afternoon. According to reports, because of heavy rainfall three houses in Sabari area, were partially inundated in heavy flow of rainwater, after which the family members had to leave the houses and shift to some safer area. As per reports families of Mr. Bhagat Ram, Sabiyan Barla and Pushpo Sikdar suffered loss due to inundation.
When contacted the SDM of Rangat area told Andaman Sheekha that the district administration has received the information and concerned agencies have been informed about the incident, so that necessary measures can be taken. He said that the district administration is well prepared and is watching the situation closely. However, as per report by late evening the situation of Rangat became normal.
