Port Blair, March 01: Andaman Sheekha on 01st March 2019 edition published a story about a 85 year old age man, Mr. K. C. Paul who has been driven out of his home and was forced to sleep on footpaths.
Taking immediate note of this news item, the Directorate of Social Welfare immediately initiated steps to accommodate Mr. K.C.Paul in the Old Age home at Ferrargunj. According to Mr. A.K.Biswas of social welfare the department managed to generate some space at the Old Age Home for Mr. Paul, we provided all articles of daily use like food, clothing,and also introduced him other members of the Home. “Now he is in safe shelter,” he said.
