Port Blair, Mar 01: In a major case of Burglary in Port Blair city, burglars broke into an office of Travel Firm and escaped with Rs. 21 Lakhs cash. According to reports, the burglary took place in the Travel firm of Phoenix Bay during wee hours today, where burglars entered inside the office after removing the cut-out to kill CCTV cameras.
The inverter was already switched off from inside, it is presumed. Although it is not clear but it is felt that someone well acquaintance with the office had masterminded the case as the burglars only broke open one drawer, which had the cash. Meanwhile, PS Aberdeen has registered a case in this regard and further investigations are on.
