Diglipur, Oct 16: Mr. T. Damodar Rao, a resident of Navin Nagar, working regular mazdoor of Electricity department complained of severe headache before collapsing at home on Saturday evening.
The relatives immediately brought him to CHC Diglipur. After monitoring the situation the doctors recommended for CT Scan.
Luckily the CMSH (Chakraborty Multi Specialty Hospital) Diglipur which is situated at Madhupur proved helpful and on scanning it was revealed the patient got large blood clot in brain with mass effect.
Soon the CHC doctor MR Nicholas intimated the matter to the higher authorities and demanded immediate shifting of Port Blair.
Soon DHS and Civil Aviation authorities at Port Blair sent Pawanhans helicopter to Diglipur in the afternoon and he was evacuated safely with staff nurse and family.
After examining the patient, the G B Pant authorities referred him to Chennai for further treatment.
