Port Blair, July 12: Under the Chairmanship of R Mohan, the State President of Bharatiya Janta Party, an urgent meeting was called in the morning today in BJP office, to discuss on future course of action to be initiated by the Party on the Issues of Buffer Zone, CRZ, frequent and heavy load shedding, quarry problems and 50 berth Yacht Marina Project and compensation to the Farmers etc.
The meeting also decided to support ACCI’s decision to fight for these issues.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament made a formal comeback in BJP and attended the meeting with his wife Mrs. Rupa Ray. Both of them were given warm welcome by party workers.
A press release issued by BJP today said that “addressing to Mr. Mohan on his speech Mr B.P Ray has urged all the members of BJP to forgive him and forget the past.”
Addressing the gathering the MP raised issues regarding CRZ, yacht marina, buffer zone, ANIFPDCL etc.
In the meeting the Party also decided that they will support the proposed Road Roko Andolan at Sippighat Junction of Gram Vikas Samity on 16th July for which the General Secretary Rajesh Lall had earlier requested to the Party.
