Port Blair, March 27: There is good news for the Islanders, a Tuberculosis detection Mobile Van is all set to provide services in these Islands very soon.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Dr SP Burma, the Director of Health Services, said that the Directorate of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Islands is ready with Tuberculosis Detection Mobile Van, which is having a lab in it and other important machineries to detect patients with Tuberculosis.
“The Van will very soon go to the different parts of these Islands and organize campaigns where patients having TB problem will be identified so that they may go to the nearby hospital for further treatment,” said Dr Burma.
As on date the cases of TB in these Islands are I increasing in an alarming rate and such a positive step by the DHS, at this point of time, might bring a new hope for these Islands.
