Port Blair, March 22: The Bachelor of Technology Students of Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair seems to have decided to fight till the end for their rights, as even today they continued their protest, that too in front of the Principal’s Office, DBRAIT.
As per reports, around 200 B. Tech students of the Institute sat in front of the Principal’s office and demanded the Principal to come outside, meet them and fulfill their demands.
“Earlier when we protested and kept our demands, the Principal assured us that few of the genuine demands will be fulfill but it was assured only in front of the college committee members following which we discontinued our protest, but till date nothing has been done from the side of the college administration to fulfill our demands, thus this time we want that the principal to give assurance to all of us,” said few students of the college.
The B. Tech students protested till 03:00pm but they could not meet the Principal. It is learnt that the entire day the Principal didn’t come outside his cabin to meet the students. A team of police was also deputed in and outside the college to maintain law and order situation. According to sources, the students are going to continue the protest even tomorrow. Further details are awaited.
