Port Blair, Jan 15: A 48 year old woman namely, Samida, a resident of Hope Town today fell into the sea while boarding a Harbor Ferry Vessel MV Juhi at 02:45 pm.
As per eyewitnesses, the lady was the last to board the vessel towards Bambooflat but as the steps for entering into the Vessel is not in a good condition, she lost her balance and fell into the sea.
However, the Staffs and few of the passengers in the boat immediately jumped into the sea with ring buoy etc. and rescued the lady.
Sources said that the lady was also a good swimmer just because of which nothing unfortunate happened. Sources said that a week earlier also another lady by profession a teacher fell into the sea just because of the bad condition of the steps while boarding.
