Diglipur, Dec 21: The 43rd Annual Athletics Meet of Govt. Secondary School, Parangara for the academic year 2017-2018 was held at the school playground on 21st December 2017. Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur was the Chief Guest while Mr. Shashi Kumar, DEO, Diglipur was the Guest of Honour for the Opening Ceremony. Smti. Kiran Kumari, Teacher In-Charge, welcomed the Chief Guest, other dignitaries as well as gathering. Students from the School participated in various events and presented an impressive march past, which was followed by a number of colourful displays such Bamboo Drill, Saree Drill, Yoga, Aerobic by tiny tots.
In his address Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur guided the students about the importance of Sports and Games in the daily life. He also aware the students to build the toilet blocks in their home with the assistance of the administration so that Diglipur could be free from Open Defecation.
The wonderful display of the items by the participants mesmerized by the audience and attracted their attention and praise.
Mementos were presented as a token of respect to the Guests by the head of the institution. Medals, certificates and prizes were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
In the Closing ceremony Mr. Shyamal Mondal, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Diglipur was the Chief Guest and Mr. Amar Mondal, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat; Kishorinagar was the Guest of Honour. Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. Rajnish Kumar Arya, GTT in the last of the programme.
