I am happy to know that the Andaman and Nicobar Administration is observing anti-dengue month during July 2012 to create awareness among the community about vector borne diseases in general and dengue in particular.
Mass participation along with active co-operation of various Government Departments and Voluntary Agencies is essential to achieve overall reduction of dengue in the Islands.
I appeal to all the people, government departments, municipal council, PRIs, voluntary organisations, mahila mondals etc., to extend their wholehearted support to the Directorate of Health Services in observing Anti-Dengue month in order to fulfil the objectives of curtailing Dengue and other vector borne diseases.
