Port Blair, Dec 19: At Andaman High waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.3 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 18-12-2017 to 23:30 hours of 20-12-2017 along the west coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel.
As per details Current speeds may vary between 69 – 113 cm/sec. Under the influence of strong pressure gradient, strong easterly wind speed between 25 to 35 km per hour gusting to 45 km per hour and moderate to rough seas likely along and off Andaman coast. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
At Nicobar High waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.4 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 18-12-2017 to 23:30 hours of 20-12-2017 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel. Current speeds vary between 68 – 94 cm/sec. Under the influence of strong pressure gradient, strong easterly wind speed between 25 to 35 km per hour gusting to 45 km per hour and moderate to rough seas likely along and off Nicobar coast. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea. The general public is advised to take precautionary measures and in case of any emergency contact in the phone numbers of State Control Room, District Control Room and Emergency Operation Centres.
