New Delhi, Nov 15: The President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind awarded Silver Medal to Saniya Subhash of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for her excellent performance in Sqay at Asian and International arena every year on Childrens Day. The President presented National Child Awards to children for exceptional achievements and National Awards for Child Welfare on Children’s Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan at New Delhi Saniya Subhash is a 10th standard student of Navy Children School, won two gold – one in Aero Sqay in junior category and second in Loba (fight) open weight category in 5th Asian Sqay Championship held at Chaing Mai, Thailand. (Sqay is a South Asian form of sword-fighting originating in Kashmir). The Silver Medal comprising with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-, a certificate/citation was awarded to Ms. Saniya Subhash.
