Diglipur, 22 Oct: As part of ‘Swachh Sagar Abhiyan’ campaign the Indian Coast Guard was actively involved in massive shoreline cleaning and cleanliness drive on 22 October. The campaign took off with beach cleanship drive at Lamia Bay beach at Diglipur by all the members of Indian Coast guard No 09, District Headquarters, Diglipur. This drive was successful in generating awareness amongst the masses for keeping the beaches clean and on the importance of ‘preserving and protecting the marine environment of these pristine Islands”.
The campaign has not only facilitated mobilizing Coast Guard personnel in keeping more cleaner and greener beach but it has also provided an opportunity to generate awareness among the masses in keeping these pristine islands ‘Clean and Green’.
