Port Blair, Oct 22: Shri Indra Pal Singh Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council on 21st October 2017 visited Brookshabad area along with Shri Yashpal Garg Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council Ward Councillor Shri Arubadai and Officers / Officials of the Council. The Pig sheds at Brookshabad were inspected and the concerned officers were directed to provide adequate water. The Chairperson further directed that rearing of pigs will not be permitted at any other area within the Municipal limits. Rearing of pigs in residential area leads to issues of sanitation and hygiene. The team there after visited the staff quarters at Brookshabad, the Chairperson directed the officials concerned to complete the ongoing construction works of the new staffs quarter block within the stipulated time frame. Further the team inspected the various ongoing works in the area.
