Port Blair, October 17: Strict monitoring and good intelligence gathering of the Police Unit Ograbraj has resulted into a seizure of around 2.89 kgs of Illicit Ganja today.
According to reports, following some inputs, a raid was conducted at Lalpahad Sea Shore Road and the police found the huge quantity of Ganja from the Possession of Sokkalingam, S/o Late Ganeshan, R/o VIP Road, Port Blair.
Inspector Shabana Haneef, SHO, Ograbraj Police Unit along with Sub Inspector Randhir Singh, Sub Inspector Sudeep Golder, PC RB Singh, PC K Mohd Azhar, HG Ganesh Lall under the overall supervision of SDPO Bambooflat, MA Nausad conducted the raid.
After more than 2-3 months the Andaman Nicobar Police succeeded to catch such a huge quantity of Ganja as according to sources after some restrictions in selling of liquor the sale of Ganja is at its peak in the city. Appropriate action has been taken against the accused in this regard.
