Port Blair, Aug 29: As part of community policing initiative by Andaman and Nicobar Police, a meeting of Jeep drivers was convened at PS Havelock Conference Hall by the SHO, Mr. Rahul Singh on 23.8.2017. Suggestions regarding following traffic rules and regulations were given to them such as : not to drive the vehicle without proper Driving License and Public Service License, not to drive in drunken condition, over speed and excess passengers. Further, jeep drivers were strictly directed not to involve in any illegal activities such as gambling, selling / transportation of liquor / contraband articles and finally, jeep drivers were requested to keep a watch for any suspicious activity / person and immediately inform about the same to the police station.
