Port Blair, June 17: Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM AVSM, Lt Governor has sanctioned ex-gratia relief of rupees one lakh out of the LG’s relief fund to Shri P. Srinivasa Rao who was seriously injured when a big tree upon uprooting in the morning of 12.6.2012, fell down on his house. His house was badly damaged and Shri P. Srinivasa Rao seriously injured and is undergoing treatment in the G. B. Pant Hospital.
The relief has been sanctioned for providing immediate financial assistance for the loss of their belongings during the above incident. The Lt. Governor had already directed the Health Department to provide best possible medical care to him and to shift him to mainland, as and when necessary.
