Diglipur, Apr 20: A solemn function was organized today to pay floral tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar As per National Joint Organizing Secretary, BJP Shri Santosh Kumar instructions to BJP and its allied parties to visit N & M Andamans under the leadership of PBMC Chairman Shri Eshwar Rao.
The members first paid tributes at Bakultala at Middile Andaman in the morning and after that at Diglipur and in the evening at Mayabunder.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of lamp by PBMC Chairman Shri Eshwar Rao. Speaking on this occasion Shri Eshwar Rao said that Dr B R Ambedkar was a great student, a teacher, a social reformer and a great patriot and as students we can very much be benefited by reading Babasahab Ambedkar and his contributions to our country.
Smti Anusua Devi spoke about the contributions of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar for social harmony and elaborated the essence of our constitution including the concepts of social harmony equity, equality fraternity and liberty in the preamble of our constitution, without which the country could not have, moved on the path of harmonized national development.
