Port Blair, Mar 22: The State TB Control Society, A & N Islands will be celebrating World TB Day along with the rest of the country under Revised National TB Control Programme on the theme “UNITE TO END TB” by arranging various IEC activities to create awareness on prevention and control of tuberculosis among the community.
On the observance of World TB Day, a rally of school students has been arranged from the premises of Cellular Jail to Gandhi Statue Aberdeen Bazaar and back on 24th March, 2017 at 9.00 AM to create awareness on TB and New Treatment Strategy DOTS among the general public, which will be flagged off by Dr. S.P Burma, Joint Secretary, RNTBCP.
Thereafter, a function will be held at 11.30 AM in the Auditorium of G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair, where Dr. S.P Burma, Joint Secretary, RNTBCP will sensitize the gathering.
