Port Blair, Feb 06: South Andaman District Police has solved a snatching case which was registered at PS Pahargaon on 3rd February, 2017 vide FIR No. 28/17 u/s 323/504/392 IPC. Accused person travelled as a passenger in Autorickshaw of the victim namely A. Pandi S/o P. Andiappan (39 yrs) Auto Rickshaw Driver, R/o Pathergudda. After reaching Dollygunj the accused asked the victim (Auto Driver) to follow him to his house for receiving payment and upon reaching the scheduled place, he attacked the victim and snatched his gold chain and took money from his pocket. He pushed the victim and ran away from the spot. Police team of PS Pahargaon acting swiftly identified the accused person and arrested him at Prem Nagar Junction. Accused Kannan (32 yrs) Pvt. Worker R/o Prem Nagar confessed to his guilt and the snatched property was also recovered from his possession.
The said case was successfully solved by South Andaman Police under the Supervision of Shri Nishant Gupta, Dy.SP S/Aand Insp. Sahil Samsuddin, SHO, PS Pahargaon.
