Port Blair, Dec 05 :Awareness cum training camp for cash less transactions was organized by the Port Blair Municipal Council at Ambedkar Auditorium on 5th December 2016.Shri.Bipin Kumar Sahu, AGM, State Bank of India along with his team conducted the camp. During the camp the State Bank of India shared their e-payment application ‘SBI Buddy” and explained the ease of making cashless transactions and its benefit. They also clarified quires and worries of the public in this regard.
Shri.B.Eswar Rao, Chairperson PBMC along with Councillors and Shri.YaspalGarg, Secretary PBMC were present during the camp which was attended by about 100 employees of the Council.
Shri.B.Eswar Rao, Chairperson PBMC informed that the Council will arrange such awareness camp in each of the ward of the Municipal area. He further informed that the PBMC is making arrangements with banks for payment of octorai, Water Charges, Property Tax and Rental etc through on-line banking, debit / credit cards and other e-payment portals. Shri.B.Eswar Rao further informed that the PBMC will switch over to 100% cashless transaction very soon
