Port Blair, Dec 05:The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Nehru Youth Club, Rangat is organizing Football Knockout Tournament under Block Level Sports Meet from 04/12/2016 at Nimbutala playground in which 14 teams from the area of kadamtala, Shaktigarh, Bakultala, Long Island, Rangat, Nimbutala, Betapur and Rangat Bay are participating. The inaugural match of the tournament was played between Shaktigarh V/s Nehru Youth Club, Rangat. Nehru Youth Club, Rangat Bay defeated Shaktigarh by 1-0 goal. On the occasion of inaugural match SmtiSarvanaKumari, Pradhan, NimbutalaPanchayat was the chief guest and he was introduced with the players of both teams. In her speech she said all players should play in a game spirit and with discipline. Earlier Shri AlphonceToppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the chief guest and gathering. On the same day six matches were played. The second match was played between ITI, Bakultala V/s Long Island. Long Island won the match by 1-0 goal. The third match was played between Kadamtala Boys V/s Rangat Boys. Rangat Boys won the match by 1-0 goal. The fourth match was played between Bakultala Camp V/s Boss, Santanu. Bakultala Camp won the match by 5-0 goals. The fifth match was played between Sabri School V/s Kalsi. Sabri School won the match by 1-0 goal. Sixth match was played between Rangat School V/s Vivekananda Youth Club, Nimbutala. Rangat School won the match by 2-0 goal.
