Port Blair, June 05: The Tourism Department of A & N Administration in association with PBMC, ANIIDCO, Directorate of Education, Art & Culture and Tourism services providers of the Island proposes to organize ‘Monsoon Festival’ for the first time in Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 22nd June, 2012 to 24th June, 2012 at Govt. Girls Sr. Secondary School Campus at Port Blair.
Musical programme, sports/singing/dance competitions and water sports will be added attractions during the festival.
It has been proposed that few food/snacks stalls/kiosks will be allowed to run during the Monsoon festival. ‘Kiosk’ made of wood (2m x 70cm size) will be made available to the interested Govt. organization/Private entrepreneurs reputed hoteliers to run the food/snacks stalls on prescribed terms and condition which can be availed from this department. Interested Govt. organization/Private entrepreneurs/hoteliers are requested to register their names in the prescribed format available with Tourism Department on or before 14/6/2012 at 4.00 p.m. for allotment of kiosk for the period from 22nd June, 2012 to 24th June, 2012 on usual terms and conditions.
The allotment process will be carried out on 15/6/2012 at 4.00 p.m. in presence of the applicants if any. The Manager (Tourism) may be contacted for further enquiry.
