Port Blair, Oct 26: Here is a good news for the islanders residing under the jurisdiction of Port Blair Municipal Council as the PBMC is planning to start water supply on daily basis in PBMC area soon.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Chairperson PBMC said that probably within this month the PBMC will supply water on daily basis. He said that the water level of the Dhanikhari Dam has extended to 78% and the filter bed of PBMC at Water Treatment Plant, Lambaline is also ready after construction, thus it is not a very difficult task for the PBMC to supply water daily.
He said that the Lt Governor of the islands also took interest into the matter and daily water supply at the PBMC area will be a reality very soon.
