Campbell Bay, Oct 10: A labourer namely Ramachandra, 53 years suffered major injuries yesterday afternoon while he was loading goods on a truck at Campbell Bay Jetty.
As per sources, a cargo ship reached yesterday at Campbell Bay and while unloading the truck the labourer, who was at the truck got trapped in the net which was loaded with heavy cargo after which he fell down from the truck.
It is learnt that the labourer suffered injuries on his head and he was referred to the GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair and was evacuated by a Dornier aircraft from Campbell Bay this morning. The condition of the labourer is said to be very critical.
