Port Blair, Oct 13: Today on 13.10.2016 at 6.30 PM an amount of Rs. 2,00,000/-(Rupees Two Lakhs only) was handed over as compensation to Smti Beena W/o Late Albert Dung Dung. The deceased Albert Dung Dung, attached to Electrical section of the Council, met with an accident on 12th October, 2016 while working on an electric pole, he fell down and declared brought dead at the Garacharma hospital. The cheque was handed over by Shri B.Eswar Rao, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council at the residence of the deceased in presence of Shri Yashpal Garg, Secretary, PBMC and Smti Sheela Singh, ward Councilor. Councillors and officials of the Council were also present on the occasion.
