Port Blair, Aug 30: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has inaugurated its 18th ATM on Monday at Kadamtala branch. Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman of the Bank was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was also attended by Mr Ghyas Meshack, Director, ANSCB, Mr K Murugan, CGM, ANSCB, Mr Sukhlal Mondal, Pradhan, Kadamtala, Smt. Saraswati Bawali, Pradhan, Uttara, Mr Pagal Mondal, Ex-Pradhan, Uttara, Mr Sapan Roy, Ex-Panchayat Samiti Member, Kadamtala, PRI Members, Govt. Officials and a large gathering of local villagers.
In his address, Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma urged all the general public of the area to come forward and avail the benefits of ATM services of the bank. He further informed that ANSCB commenced its banking services in the year 1966 with a meagre amount of Rs. 85,000. The Bank has now crossed its total turnover of Rs. 1100 Crores with a clientele base of over 3.20 lakh customers. He also informed that the bank had actively participated in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Jan Suraksha Bima schemes and covered over numerous cases under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). He also urged the general public to avail all the Govt. Sponsored schemes.
Mr Sukhlal Mondal, Pradhan, Kadamtala appreciated the efforts of A & N State Cooperative Bank for fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the area. He also conveyed his gratitude to the entire team of ANSCB in installing an ATM at Kadamtala.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr K Murugan, Chief General Manager (CGM) informed that ANSCB, Kadamtala has added one more feather to its banking fold by the inauguration of its 18th ATM services for the people of Kadamtala. He also urged all the general public to come forward and avail ATM services of the bank. He also asked the general public to be cautious with their ATM Pin and other details and urged all the customers not to reveal their card and Pin details to anyone.
