Port Blair, Aug 30: The Town & Country Planning Unit of APWD in association with Town & Country Planning Organisation, Ministry of Urban Development and National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad is organising a one day UT level Workshop on Master Plan Formulation using Bhuvan-NUIS on 31.08.2016 in the Mini Conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office, APWD, Port Blair. Shri Raajiv Yadhuvanshi, Principal Secretary (UD) and Chief Secretary (incharge) will be the chief guest to inaugurate the workshop.
“Bhuvan-NUIS” is a web based application developed by NRSC, Department of Space, Hyderabad. The NUIS geospatial databases created under NUIS Scheme have been made available through Bhuvan portal for formulation of Master/Development Plans by the Town Planning Department/Urban Local Bodies. Bhuvan-NUIS facilitates updating NUIS data with remote sensing satellite images and integrate other spatial data like cadastral maps, utility maps etc.
The officials from various departments of the Administration viz. APWD, PBMC, Forest, Transport, Revenue, Police and DBRAIT are participating in the programme.
