Port Blair, July 08: The National Joint Council of Action(NJCA), New Delhi, an umbrella organisation of Central Govt. employees and workers, decided to defer the proposed indefinite strike from 11th July, 2016 onwards on 7th CPC issues. NJCA took this decision after a meeting of its leaders with Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh. On behalf of Govt. of India, Shri Rajnath Singh assured to refer the revision of minimum wage and Fitment Formula to High Level Committee. It was further assured by the Minister that the proposed High Level Committee will submit its recommendations to Govt. within a time frame of four months. On the basis of assurance and Press Statement issued by Union Finance Minister, the NJCA has deferred the indefinite strike. Consequent on the decision of NJCA, New Delhi, the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officer’s Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has also decided to suspend all its proposed territory-wide agitations from 11th July,2016 onwards on 7th CPC issues. However. the Association will continue its campaign and public meetings as per schedule.
