Port Blair, July 8: The Director, Botanical Survey of India, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Dr. Paramjit Singh will arrive on a visit to these islands on Saturday. He will chair the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC), Andaman and Nicobar Islands meeting and inspect and review the progress in ex-situ conservation activities of rare, critically endangered and endemic species at Dhannikhari Experimental Garden cum Arboretum of BSI, ANRC at Nayashahar. The Director will be accompanied by Dr. Lal Ji Singh, Dy. Director & Scientist-D, other scientists and officials of the Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre here.
