Port Blair, July 08: On 20.06.2016, a complaint of theft of an ATM Card of Punjab National Bank was received at Police Station Aberdeen from one Shri R. Sathish Kumar of Phoenix Bay and the culprit had withdrawn cash Rs.9000/- by using the ATM Card. Upon this, a Case U/S 380 IPC was registered at PS Aberdeen and the South Andaman Police made sincere efforts towards finding the culprit and succeeded in identifying the accused as Deepak Swain (22) yrs, R/o Phoenix Bay with the aid of scientific investigation techniques. Immediately, the accused person was arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court at Port Blair from where he was sent to Judicial Custody Remand.
All the General Public hereby advised to take care of their ATM Cards and advised not disclose any details to anybody. Further, any information on any crime should immediately be conveyed to PCR (100) or nearest police station.
