Port Blair, Nov 06: The “State Level Exhibition & Project Competition – 2015” under INSPIRE Award Scheme for the participants students of these Islands has been organized by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education, A&N Administration in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, G.o.I., New Delhi on 4th November – 2015 in the Auditorium of Govt. Girls Sr. Secondary School, Port Blair
Smt. Tanvi Garg, IAS (Secretary-cum-Director (Education), Andaman & Nicobar Administration has inaugurated this State function as Chief Guest at 10.00 AM while Shri Amit Kumar, the Deputy Director Education (Administration), Directorate of Education, Port Blair was the Guest of Honour. In her inaugural address the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts being done by the participant students and their teachers to present their Projects/Models and Exhibits in an innovative manner.
All the senior officials from the Directorate of Education and the Head of all the schools of Head quarter area were present on this occasion. About 40 exhibits were displayed in the “State Level Exhibition & Project Competition – 2015”. Students from Campbell Bay zone, Nancowrie zone, Car Nicobar zone and from North & Middle Andaman District were also participated in this competition along with the Schools of South Andaman District.
Earlier Dr. B.M. Bhatt, the Deputy Director Education (Science) and also Nodal Officer (INSPIRE) has welcomed the Chief Guest, other dignitaries and the Participants. He has concise the Goals & Objectives of this very programme. Vote of Thanks has been proposed by Shri Raja Ram, Science Supervisor while the programme was coordinated by Smt. Mariam Joy, Science Consultant of the Office of the DDE (Sc.), Port Blair.
An expert panel of Jury from JNRM, DBRAIT and the Deptt. of Science & Technology, Dollygunj, Port Blair have adjudged the best FIVE ENTRIES from this competition, who will indeed proceed to IIT Campus, Hauz Khas, New Delhi on 6th & 7th December – 2015 to participate in the National Level (INSPIRE) Competition. The names of selected entries are asunder;
• Govt. Secondary School, Durgapur (Diglipur), Kr. A. Ganesh & G. Simhachalam selected for “Salt Water Battery” project.
• VKZPV, Diglipur, Kr. Rahul Gain & Shayak Halder selected for “RCL Spy Car” project.
• Carmel SSS Port Blair, Kr. Aadersh Prasad Tiwari selected for “Laser Surveillance System” project.
• Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School, Mayabunder, Km. Deepika Mali selected for “R/C Dust Cleaner” project.
• St. Paul School, Lamba Pahad, South Andaman, Km. Sangeeta & R.C. Archana selected for “Eco-Friendly Village” project.
The Participants were given away the Certificates and Trophies.
