Port Blair, Nov 06: On 06 Nov 15 Dr. RK Haldar, Project Director and Dr. Jahanara Yasmeen Deputy Director IEC from A&N AIDS Control Society, Port Blair delivered the lecture on ‘AIDS Awareness’ to NCC cadets of Army and Naval Wing at JNRM College. A total of 125 cadets including ANO and PI Staff of Army and Naval Units participated in the event.
The welcome address was given by Dr. Xevier Francis Principal JNRM, College. Dr. Jahanara Yasmeen explained the cause and prevention of AIDS and elaborated on the subject using audio visual aids. Cadets showed keen interest in the lecture. The A&N AIDS Control Society, Port Blair also provided refreshments to the cadets and assured more such educational lectures in future.
