Port Blair, Sept 03: The PBMC had sealed a number of buildings before 10, April 2015 for violation of building norms but the sealing process was stopped after that, for reasons unknown. After 10 April there was no building sealing in Port Blair City as a result only few buildings, which were sealed before April 10, still remained sealed.
Sadly buildings which are being constructed even today, violating building norms, are not even given notice yet perhaps because of the coming elections.
Does this mean that building violations are not a violation if elections are on? Does this mean that action should be taken on only few people who are violating building norms while others should be given a free hand, just because of elections?
The administration must clarify that why it has two sets of rules for people.
Presently in almost every corner of city new building are being constructed and in many cases the construction works are being carried out violating building norms but as this is election time they are getting full immunity and when elections will be over by that time the buildings construction works will be over. If there is a law it should be equal for everyone.
