Port Blair, July 12: The NABARD in association with Andaman & Nicobar State Coop. Bank has orgainsed a Financial Literacy Awareness Campaign on 10th July, 2015 at Ferrargunj Panchayat Samity Hall. Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman, ANSCB was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme was attended by Shri. Hament B Songadkar, GM, NABARD, Shri. K Murugan, CGM, ANSCB, Shri. Farooq, LDM, Fr. Jairaj, SURABHI, Govt. Officials, PRI Members and a large gathering of Self Help Groups and local residents of the area. An interactive training-cum-awareness session on various topics like importance of banking, savings, Govt. Insurance schemes, KCC, SHG, JLG, etc were held during the programme. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Fr. Jairaj, SURABHI.
A similar function was also organised at Diglipur at the Panchayat Hall, Subhashgram on 8th July, 2015. Shri. P R Singaram, Pradhan, GP Subhashgram was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme was also attended by Shri. Kumud Mondal, Director, ANSCB, Shri. Murli Mohan, DGM, NABARD, Shri. Nagen Halder, Ex-Pramukh, Shri. B Siddappa, AE, APWD, Pradhan, Gandhinagar, Smt. Chandrika Acharya, Manager, NABARD, Branch Manager, SBI, Diglipur, PRI Members and a large gathering of Self Help Groups and local residents of the area.
