Port Blair, June 10: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament A & N Islands vide his letter No.03/BPR/MP/ANI/HM/2015/868 dated 09.06.2015 has taken up the long pending issue of the employees of Prison Department, A&N Islands with the Ministry of Home Affairs for grant of Ration Money Allowances at par with the benefit as being allowed to the Police Personnel of A&N Police vide MHA’s Letter No.U-14026/3/2009-ANL dated 15.06.2012 and to the employees of Central Jail Cadre of Tihar Jail vide MHA’s Letter No.F-9/70/90/HG/2316 dated 08.06.2007.
Considering the legitimate demands, Mr. Ray, MP has made strong approach to Mr. Rajnath Singh, the Minister of Home Affairs for accepting the legitimate demands for granting the entitled ration money allowance to 88 Prison Employees of Jail Department of A&N Islands at par with the counter parts of A&N Police Department and Tihar Jail in compliance to the order of the Hon’ble CAT dated 24.12.2014 passed in OA No.351/00175/2014.
