Port Blair, May 08: The issue for regularization of the services of Home Guard with all consequential service benefits in compliance to the verdict of the Hon’ble High Court/Supreme Court of India was pending with the Ministry since UPA Govt. Such undue delay in settlement of legitimate demands was brought to the notice of Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, the MP has accordingly raised the matter with the Ministry and also in the Parliament on various occasions, besides personnel meeting with Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister of Home Affairs.
After the extensive efforts of Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament and off-course after best possible efforts of the Administration, the Ministry of Home Affairs has accepted the proposal and conveyed their approval for admissibility of service benefit of pay scale in PB-1 Rs: 5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs: 1800/- and also for the admissibility of HRA & ACP/MACP to the Home Guards of A & N Islands.
Shri Bishnu Pada RAY, the Member of Parliament has further expressed his gratitude to the A & N Administration and especially the Director General of Police for extending all possible efforts in getting the service benefits to Home Gaur Personnel of A & N Islands.
