Mayabunder, Mar 22: Although the Mayabunder area has been made presentable overnight with the report of Lt. Governor’s visit, residents or the area are complaining about the irregular water supply from a long time.
Resident allege that even after so many promises of providing sufficient water to Mayabunder residents, the Water Distribution Center maintained by the NACD, APWD Mayabunder has failed to supply water on alternative days. The people are getting water through tap after 04 or 05 days.
It is leant that lack of proper management and supervision by the officials of APWD, resulted in such crisis situation.
“The concerned authority must take immediate steps to supply water at least once in two days by making proper management and supervision by the officials entrusted with the duties and responsibilities of supplying drinking water to avoid any agitation by the public,” said a resident of Mayabunder.
Some PRI members are also planning to raise this issue infront of the Lt. Governor during his visit to Mayabunder tomorrow.
