Port Blair, Feb 25: The Banker Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow (a training institute of NABARD) has organized one week long ODI (Orientation Developmental Intervention) for the employees of A & N State Coop. Bank and representatives of PACS of Andaman & Nicobar Islands w.e.f. 19th February – 24th February, 2015.
The inaugural programme was held on 19th Feb, 2015 at the Conference Hall of the Bank. Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the ODI programme in presence of Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, Shri. R K Thanvi, DGM, NABARD, Dr. Shikha Tripathi & Shri. Rakesh Kumar Srivastava, Faculty members of BIRD, Lucknow. At the beginning, Shri. Ravinder Rao, MD welcomed the dignitaries and the participants for ODI programme. Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the Bank urged all the participants to come forward and share their suggestions/ideas for the growth and development of the bank. Dr. Shikha Tripathi & Shri. Rakesh Kumar Srivastava appraised the participants regarding the benefits of ODI programme. The inaugural programme ended with vote of thanks coined by Smt. Elizabeth Mary, Women Development Officer of the bank.
The ODI programme was conducted in two different batches- One for the staff members of the Bank and other for the Secretaries/Chairman of PACS. The programme was aimed to groom the participants to get the best out of themselves and motivate them for a good work culture. The programme was conducted from 19th Feb – 24th Feb, 2015. The team of faculty members also visited Netaji Service Coop. Socy, Bapujee Service Coop. Socy and some of the branches of A & N StCB.
