Diglipur, Dec 21: A 12 years old boy, Master Bishal, a student of Class VI, Government Secondary School, Madhupur, Diglipur went missing while taking bath at Lamiya Bay Beach today.
As per the reports, the members of Diglipur Durga Puja Committee went for a picnic at Lamiya Bay Beach today and there were three children in the group.
According to sources, nearly 12-15 people were taking bath in the seashore with children and suddenly a giant wave came and washed away all of them far from the seashore towards deep sea. However all managed to save themselves, except Master Bishal.
Sources also said that one of the children had managed to hold the hand of Master Bishal but unfortunately because of the huge force of the wave he lost his grip. Till 4:00 pm all the members of the Durga Puja Committee searched the boy but later they informed to the Coast Guard and Police.
The team of Coast Guard and Police launched a search operation immediately but at 5:00 pm because of the poor visibility and weather conditions the team discontinued the search. It is learnt that tomorrow morning the team of Police and Coast Guard will again start the search operation.
